Trailer Fire Quickly Brought Under Control
At 3:16 AM today, Carrollton and Smithfield Fire were dispatched to a Residential trailer fire in the 24600 block of Sugarhill Rd in Carrollton. Upon arrival, units found an enclosed trailer fully involved, along with a brush fire threatening a nearby home and a detached garage.
A quick attack was initiated by Squad 10 and the crew of Ladder 10. Crews remained on scene for just over two hours, conducting overhaul operations and salvaging items from the enclosed trailer while checking for hot spots in the brush fire.
Responding units included: 101, 103, Squad 10, Ladder 10, Medic 10, Tanker 30, SFR Tanker 9, 504, Bat 1, Engine 51, and Engine 52. There were no injuries reported, and the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
