The Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department sponsored live fire training at 22283 Brewer’s Neck Blvd (the old Sentry Mart). Three nights of training were conducted August 22nd thru the 24th. The first night search and rescues drills were conducted utilizing a burn barrel. The second and third night live fire drills were conducted. 24 evolutions were conducted over the three day period with an average of 32 fire fighters from Carrollton and Smithfield Vol Fire Departments participating each night. Chuckatuck Vol Fire Department provided a tanker on Thursday to assist with water supply. In addition to the training conducted in the store and attached house, three out buildings were burned.
