Wood cutting and splitting for Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department's upcoming Spring BBQ Fundraiser began Saturday March 28,2015. Special thanks to Bill Blanton and daughter Debbie Bales. Bill helped with his front loader and Debbie bought our volunteer members pizza and soft drinks for lunch. Thanks also to Meadow Outdoor Innovations and Suffolk Materials for the use of their trucks for haulage. Two wood cutting and splitting sites were operated simultaneously: the Burckard Estate and Blanton Farm. With the excellent member participation and community help this wood gathering portion of the overall preparation activities for the upcoming BBQ fundraiser has been completed.
Good job and many thanks to all!
