Carrollton Volunteer Fire Dept.                     Forcible Entry Training Door System
Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department has received the newest model of the "Challenger" Forcible Entry Training Door System. This recently released training apparatus enables the volunteer firefighters of the department to conduct realistic training in the skills needed to rapidly gain entrance into a structure through a secure door to save a life, protect property or extinguish a fire. Modern "forcible entry" procedures emphasize minimal damage to the structure while permitting the quickest access possible. Inside the fire engine bay of Carrollton VFD, Phillip Britton of PEB Enterprises in White Marsh, Va. and his assistant instruct Carrollton volunteers in the use and training value of this new mobile training device. Department members will now be able to independently conduct advanced rapid-entry training at their own home station. Carrollton VFD is able to purchase such advanced equipment through the generous donations of local residents and businesses to their local fire department. Periodic fund raisers are held by the volunteers throughout the year to make such purchases possible to serve the local Carrollton community as well as mutual aide districts in Smithfield and northern Suffolk.
