Carrollton Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched 1815 Sunday 23 June 2013 to a reported car fire across from the BP station on Carrollton Blvd. First arriving volunteer department member in POV reported car "fully involved" with fire at the rear of the vehicle and the driver safely out of the car. Volunteer crew in Engine-10 responded quickly from Station-10 and arrived on scene to initiate an aggressive fire attack with hand lines. Carrollton VFD units Chief-10 and Rescue-10 also responded to assist. The fire was reported under control within minutes. E-10 and R-10 crews conducted sufficient overhaul operations to prevent fire extension and re-ignition. Isle of Wight Sheriff's Deputy arrived on scene to begin investigation and reporting procedures. All Carrollton VFD units were clear and available by 1845 to return to quarters.
