Carrollton Volunteer Fire Dept.                         2013 Santa Tour

Residents of Carrollton neighborhoods donated 1000 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Isle of Wight County Christian Outreach Program (COP) during four days of Santa Claus visits throughout Carrollton, Virginia. The COP will distribute this food to needy families in Isle of Wight county during the Christmas Season. Each year Carrollton volunteer firefighters escort Santa Claus through residential areas in Carrollton and accept the food donated by well-wishers as the Jolly Old Elf greets residents and accepts the Christmas wishes of children who come out to see him during the tour. This year's "Santa Tour" was conducted from Thursday 12 Dec. to Sunday 15 Dec. 2013 and Santa's sleigh was pulled by Carrollton Volunteer Fire Dept's "Brush-10" apparatus designed for fighting brush fires that occur often in the mostly rural areas of Carrollton.
